Installing zwallctl

Purpose #

Get a zwallctl that matches the Manager edition you run.

Procedure — Community #

From the Community tree:

go build -o bin/zwallctl ./cmd/zwallctlCopy

scripts/install-zwallctl.sh exists in Main; use the copy shipped in your tree.

Procedure — Enterprise #

Install the zwallctl artifact from the same admitted release as the Manager. Mixing Community zwallctl with Enterprise license APIs fails (unknown command license). Release verification is described in Release trust.

First use #

zwallctl login --manager-url https://manager.example.com:8443 --username admin
zwallctl ping --manager-url https://manager.example.com:8443Copy

Default URL http://localhost:8080 does not match the Manager example listen port. Config file ~/.zwallctl/config.yml mode 0600.

Enterprise also understands --build-info-json on the executable (not a cobra subcommand).
