Upgrades overview
Purpose
Choose the upgrade path that the product actually implements, and refuse paths that exist in code but are not production-certified.
Supported paths
Scroll sideways to see the full table. Use the arrow keys when focused.
| Edition | Path | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Community | Rebuild from source → -preflight-migrate → -migrate → -check-schema → restart | SUPPORTED as the Community procedure |
| Enterprise | New verified release → backup → --manager-database-only → replace artifacts from the same bundle → restart → verify | SUPPORTED as the commercial direction; not a whole-product production-readiness claim |
Always backup first (Backup). Always test in isolation. No zero-downtime or one-click claim.
Not supported as production upgrade
Scroll sideways to see the full table. Use the arrow keys when focused.
| Mechanism | Status |

zwallctl update apply / zwallctl upgrade | NOT_SUPPORTED for production |
POST /api/v1/update-campaigns | NOT_SUPPORTED for production |
zwallctl update rollback | NOT_SUPPORTED for production |
| Mixed Agent/Manager generations without a matrix | NOT_VERIFIED |
| Schema downgrade | Not supported |
Those cobra commands exist on Enterprise so this package documents them as present and not the path, not as folklore.
